The SLBL is a close transition soft loading device that parallels a
single generator to a single utility power grid.
The controls in the SLBL perform active synchronization of the
generator output with the utility power and vice versa during a power
transfer process. The SLBL is suitable for a single generator with a
single utility application where a close transition transfer with an
extended parallel of the two sources is allowed by the utility power
company.
The SLBL will operate at a base load (typically 80% of standby rating)
so that the generated power will either be utilized by the facility loads
or exported to the utility based on the total facility kW loads and the
generating capacity.
The SLBL is a good choice for customers who require reliable emergency
backup capability and bumpless transfer back to the
utility when utility power returns. In addition the SLBL can also be used
by customers for peakshaving applications without interrupting power to
their critical loads during the peakshaving process. The transfer of power
between sources is seamless.
